About Tlaquepaque

Tlaquepaque: Pueblo Magico

Located in the center of Jalisco, the heartland of Mexico

Tlaquepaque is a small hamlet tucked just outside of the historic city of Guadalajara. It’s known for its rustic streets, artisan stores, delicious restaurants, and ambient music. In fact, Tlaquepaque represents the essence of Jalisco’s cultural traditions.

It is one of Mexico’s premiere arts and crafts centers, where you can discover works in ceramics, iron, blown glass, leather, wood and many other materials, as well as buy directly from the artisans who live there.

Wander the cobblestone streets, visit its beautiful shops, and enjoy a margarita in the famous Parián, which features live mariachi music and regional dancing 7-days a week.

Tlaquepaque has been named a “Pueblo Magico” (Magic Village) by the Mexican tourism board for its rich cultural history. The pueblo has a cozy, small-town feel, and is known for its warmth and hospitality.
